ArmInfo. The new uniform of our army is attractive, functional, comfortable, and suitable for all seasons. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote this on his Facebook page, along with a video in which Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan presented the new models of the summer, fall, and winter field uniforms for the Armenian Armed Forces.
Back in December 2025, Papikyan presented new uniform samples for the Armenian Armed Forces to Pashinyan. He noted that the new uniform, called "Armenian camouflage," was developed at the request of the Armenian side and is designed for Armenian conditions. Specifically, for cold weather, three layers of outerwear have been prepared: two jackets and one hoodie, and three layers of underwear: a sweatshirt and two T-shirts. The new uniform will feature knee and elbow pads that will be inserted directly into the uniform, rather than being secured with Velcro. Three pairs of boots (flat, mid-soled, and winter) were also on display, as well as berets and hats, including a winter hat that can be worn under a helmet.
The new military uniform will be introduced in the Armenian Armed Forces in 2026 after completing the testing phase and procurement procedures, the Minister of Defense announced in January 2025. He also announced that the contract with the American company Milliken provides for the provision of samples, technical specifications, and patterns. Some prototypes are currently undergoing field trials. The Minister noted that the procurement process will begin in 2026, in which local companies will also be able to participate. Meanwhile, a general idea of the required field uniform for the various branches of the armed forces has already been formed.
