ArmInfo. TRIPP (Trump's Route for International Peace and Prosperity) is a project between Armenia and the United States, and the involvement of other shareholders is only possible with the consent of both parties, as stated by the Armenian Prime Minister during a press briefing on January 15th, in response to a question from an ArmInfo correspondent about the possible participation of Russia and Turkey in the project.
At the same time, he expressed his personal stance on the matter, emphasizing that there should be no other shareholders in the TRIPP project. "Participation in TRIPP is not just about having a stake in the company. Armenia and the United States will have a stake. However, this project is not isolated from the rest of the world," the Prime Minister noted. Specifically, he emphasized that TRIPP is linked to other infrastructure. "We are talking about the Trans-Caspian Railway. It includes numerous railway lines, gas pipelines, oil pipelines, electricity export and production. A wide variety of investors can participate in all of this infrastructure," the head of government said. Regarding the participation of Russian partners, Pashinyan mentioned that he had asked them to urgently restore the railway infrastructure in Yeraskh, Akhurik, and Ijevan.
"Note, that TRIPP is an investment program. Certainly, a very important and key one, but an investment program. And there are numerous beneficiaries who can take advantage of the opportunities offered by this project," he noted.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister stated that since August 2025, when the project's implementation was announced, Armenia's investment attractiveness has increased. Specifically, he emphasized that a situation has emerged where it is not the Republic of Armenia that is seeking funds; "And this is the biggest economic news, as evidenced by the statistics on short-term government bond sales, where demand has tripled supply and rates have fallen. This means that Armenia's expenses have decreased, and the profitability of these transactions has increased," the head of government shared. He added that a significant portion of the investors are external institutional investors from international investment companies.
