ArmInfo. Linda, the wife of Vigen Eulchekjian, who was released from Azerbaijani captivity yesterday, has arrived in Yerevan from Beirut.
At the airport, while answering journalists' questions, she, openly tearful, remarked that she still can't believe what's happening. "My children are very happy; they can't believe this is all true," Linda said, adding that all she wants now is to see her husband as soon as possible. Linda noted that after a number of issues are resolved, she and her husband will depart for Lebanon.
Meanwhile, it has become known that Vigen Eulchekjian, who was hospitalized in a military hospital after his return from captivity, was taken to the Investigative Committee after an examination. Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the ruling Civil Contract faction, told journalists that a medical examination revealed no health issues with the former prisoner. "We arrived at the military hospital, but it turned out Vigen was healthy and walking normally. He's currently in the Investigative Committee, which is normal procedure. Linda and I were 10 minutes late, and we're now heading to the Investigative Committee," said Hayk Sargsyan.
As a reminder, Azerbaijan handed over four Armenians to Armenia the day before: Gevork Sujyan, David Davtyan, Vigen Eulchekjyan, and Vagif Khachatryan.
Lebanese Armenian Vigen Eulchekjyan was captured on the Goris-Berdadzor road the day after the ceasefire. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Baku.
