Iranian diplomat points out Armenian authorities` inaction regarding  protests outside Iranian Embassy in Yerevan

ArmInfo. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami has expressed  dissatisfaction with the Armenian authorities' lack of response to  their complaints regarding the protests taking place outside the  Iranian Embassy in Yerevan.

During a press conference in Yerevan, the diplomat noted that for the  past six days, a group of individuals, that are given the green light  to protest, have been gathering in front of the Iranian Embassy in  Yerevan every evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and  making offensive  statements.

He added that the embassy staff's complaints regarding the events in  front of the Iranian diplomatic mission have gone unanswered by the  Armenian authorities. He added that Iran is currently in a difficult  situation, and the events unfolding in front of the Iranian embassy  today will remain  in the historical recollection of the Iranian  people.

"A perception is forming in Tehran that Armenia is becoming a center  of activity for forces hostile to Iran," he added.

Overall, speaking about the protests in Iran, the diplomat pointed  out the obviousness of their planned nature and their goal to divide  the country. He also noted Israel's role in these processes within  Iran. "Your country, Armenia, will be among the losers if, God  forbid, these forces succeed," he noted, also mentioning that Iran  has always stood by Armenia and the Armenian people in the most   difficult moments.
