During a meeting in Baku, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and a delegation led by Carl Kress, Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Eurasia at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), discussed the current state of Azerbaijani-American bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, regional relations, including the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), and economic investment.
According to media reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting also addressed issues related to familiarizing the US private sector representatives with Azerbaijan's relevant infrastructure and logistics capabilities and prospects for expanding cooperation. The participants highly appreciated the bilateral discussions on specific areas and contacts that have taken place following the Washington Peace Summit on August 8, 2025.
