ArmInfo. The Consular Service of the Czech Embassy in Armenia is planning to transfer the function of issuing short-term visas to a visa center. Petr Peruncik, the Czech Ambassador to Armenia, reported on his Facebook page that "Czech Republic is going to use the services of a visa center. In the near future, a concession procedure for external provision of services for processing short-term visa applications in Armenia."
Tenders will only be submitted electronically through NEN (National Electronic Instrument - https://nen.nipez.cz/profil/mzv ). An exact link to the NEN website containing the method and conditions of the concession proceedings, through which it will be possible to submit tenders, will be published on the website Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan, Armenia at the moment the concession starts.
Note that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic regularly announces competitive procedures (concession tenders) for the outsourcing of services for processing short-term (Schengen) visa applications in various countries around the world. This information concerns a standard procedure in which the Czech Republic (represented by the MFA) outsources the collection and pre-processing of visa applications (e.g., document reception, biometric data) to specialized external companies (visa centers). This is done to reduce the burden on consulates and increase throughput for applicants. In recent years, such procedures have been launched or completed in countries such as Qatar, Botswana, South Africa, Azerbaijan, China, and Tajikistan. These centers offer applicants greater flexibility when submitting documents.
