ArmInfo. The President of the USA proposed to the authorities of Cuba to conclude an oil deal, warning that the Caribbean country will no longer receive oil and money from Venezuela. In his social network Truth Social, Trump accused the island state of providing Venezuela with "security services" in exchange for fuel.
"For many years, Cuba lived on large volumes of oil and money from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided "security services" to the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NEVER MORE!" - wrote Donald Trump on his social network Truth Social."I strongly recommend them to close the deal before it's too late," he added.
The accusations caused a furious reaction in Havana. In response to Trump's accusations, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez stated that Cuba has never received financial compensation for any "security services", asserting that Havana has the right to conduct business with any state it wishes. "Unlike the USA, we do not have a government that would be inclined to mercenary, blackmail or military coercion of other states," he noted.
