Handala reported that the published names and phone numbers were a contact list for Mehrdad Rahimi. The hackers describe him as a leading Mossad officer inside Iran. According to Handala, these individuals are collaborating with Israeli intelligence to create a dangerous situation in the Islamic Republic.
Today, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also detained a Mossad spy, according to state broadcaster IRIB. According to the report, the spy was gathering information for the Israeli intelligence service to assess the terrorist activities of its agents in Iran.
Meanwhile, Iranian authorities today called on citizens to take to the streets in protest against the unrest in Tehran. The Islamic Development Coordination Council has called for a rally across the country.
According to the statement, the council calls on people to protest to condemn the "terrorist actions of US and Israeli agents." The event is scheduled for Monday, January 12, at 1:30 PM Moscow time in Enghelab Square in Tehran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will address the nation tomorrow, IRIB reported.
Mass demonstrations in Iran began in late December due to the devaluation of the national currency and a sharp rise in prices. Unrest resumed in Tehran on the evening of January 8.
