ArmInfo. To mark the 102nd birthday of the brilliant director, screenwriter, artist, and collage artist Sergei Parajanov, an animation exhibition, "Films and Celebrities," has opened at his Museum.
As part of the exhibition, fascinating stories featuring Parajanov and his distinguished contemporaries- Andrei Tarkovsky, Yves Saint Laurent, Madame de Gaulle, Marcello Mastroianni, and others-are being shown on large screens at the Museum. Some of these stories were previously unknown to the general public.
Specifically, Parajanov and famous figures are featured on the first floor, while his films and Parajanov's story dedicated to the Mona Lisa are on the second floor. As Museum Director Anahit Mikaelyan noted, this exhibition format will be maintained, and the animated films will be continually updated, providing an opportunity to rediscover Sergei Parajanov-both as an artist and as a person.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, today the Museum also hosted the presentation of Kora Tsereteli's (Georgian film scholar, critic, and screenwriter) book, "Collage Against the Background of a Self-Portrait," which contains memories of Sergei Parajanov.
