ArmInfo. The arrest of journalists and hosts of the "Imnemnimi" podcast, Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan, has been extended for three months. The corresponding decision was made at today's hearing.
In connection with the court's decision, Narek Samsonyan announced the beginning of an indefinite hunger strike.
As a reminder, Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan were detained on November 13 in Yerevan. Subsequently, by court order, they were remanded in custody for two months.
On the same day, the AntiFake.am editorial office was searched, and all equipment was confiscated. The resource's operations have not been fully restored due to the fact that security forces have not yet returned the confiscated property. The bloggers were detained following a complaint filed by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan for allegedly using obscene language. Notably, this complaint followed Simonyan's initial insult to the podcast hosts in a post on his Facebook page, after which they responded.
