ArmInfo. The Hayakve civic initiative has announced the release of Karush Oveyan, a member of the Gyumri branch of the initiative, after two months of imprisonment, as noted in a statement issued by Hayakve.
The statement recalls that Oveyan was detained without cause and then unlawfully arrested following a confrontation outside the Gyumri City Hall on October 20, based on fabricated and unfounded charges. "The video footage of Karush's release from the Artik penal institution shows that the spirit of our comrade-in-arms and ideological ally is high, and his will is unbroken. The fight continues. Freedom for all other political prisoners," the initiative's statement reads.
