On December 18, regular bilateral Armenian-Greek defense consultations took place in Yerevan co-chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department at the RA Ministry of Defense, and Brigadier General Christos Spyropoulos, Director of the International Relations Department of the General Staff of the National Defense of Greece.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Defense, the consultations focused on the work done in defense cooperation in 2025 and the programs for 2026. The parties noted with satisfaction that, thanks to joint efforts, bilateral cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level, not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of content. It is currently comprehensive in nature and includes several new areas of mutual interest.
Levon Ayvazyan presented the transformation process of the RA Armed Forces. The interlocutors also discussed various issues related to regional and international security. Following the consultations, a program of defense cooperation between Armenia and Greece for 2026 was signed, outlining several dozen events in both countries.
