Lawyer: Vahagn Chakhalyan, leader of  Kamk initiative,  being held in  inhumane conditions

ArmInfo. The leader of the opposition Kamk (Will) movement, Vahagn Chakhalyan, is being held in inhumane conditions. Lawyer Aleksan Tumasyan wrote on his Facebook  page.

"There is no heating in the punishment cell; he was transferred to a  cold room. It seems there is a deliberate attempt to harm him by any  means necessary. He is essentially being tortured," he added.

Recall, Chakhalyan was detained on July 5, 2025. On July 4, the  Investigative Committee reported that, by a decision of the  prosecutor, based on a petition from an investigator in the context  of criminal proceedings regarding the preparation of a terrorist  attack and the usurpation of power by the leaders and participants of  the "Sacred Struggle" movement, a criminal case was opened against V.  Ch. under Part 1 of Article 43-419 and Part 1 of Article 43-308 of  the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
