Yerevan court  extends arrest of Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Primate of   Aragatsotn Diocese, for another two months

ArmInfo.  The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has decided to extend the arrest of  Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese, for  another two months.

"The Aragatsotn Diocese condemns this persecution carried out by the  judicial system and this illegal decision, and deems to detain the  Primate of the Diocese as unacceptable. We affirm that all charges  are fabricated and baseless. We hope that justice will prevail soon,  and we pray to Almighty God for the restoration of justice and the  return of our Primate," the diocese's statement reads.
