


ArmInfo. Gaps and challenges in the development and provision of meteorological, climate, and hydrological services and information have been identified in Armenia.
The Deputy Minister of Environment of Armenia, Vahe Davtyan, discussed these issues with World Bank representatives, who shared findings of an analytical work based on the National Disaster Risk Management Program.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Environment, as part of the analytical work, a technical assessment of the State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) "Service for Hydrometeorology and Active Influence on Atmospheric Phenomena" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia was conducted, focusing on users' needs. The parties also reviewed the World Bank's report "Roadmap for Armenia: Modernizing Meteorological, Climate, and Hydrological Services," which aims to modernize services and effectively plan sectoral reforms for SNCOs.
