ArmInfo. The Armenian Foreign Ministry dismissed as groundless the Azerbaijani side's claims that the new Armenia-EU strategic partnership agenda counter to the overall peace agenda between Baku and Yerevan.
Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Armenian media that the Armenia-EU strategic partnership agenda is based on shared values and mutual interests and reflects not only the European aspirations of the citizens of Armenia, but also the EU's commitment to supporting sovereignty, territorial integrity, democracy, and socioeconomic resilience.
She assured that this, in turn, contributes to efforts aimed at further strengthening peace in the region. Badalyan also noted that the EU welcomed the historic milestone registered between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington this August, and reaffirmed its firm support for the further consolidation and institutionalization of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
