Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, along with Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, participated in the presentation of the baseline report on the assessment of Armenia's public administration within the SIGMA project and delivered welcoming remarks. According to the government press service, representatives from the government, heads of diplomatic missions, and international organizations representative offices in Armenia attended the event.
Mher Grigoryan emphasized the importance of the document's publication and thanked the entire team involved in its development. The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the report assessed Armenia using the same methodology and criteria as countries undergoing EU integration. "The modernization of the public system underlies all our policies. Without resilient institutions and a competitive civil service, we will not be able to effectively fulfill the promises we make to our citizens," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Mher Grigoryan announced that the development of a new public administration reform strategy based on the recommendations in the report will begin soon. The Deputy Prime Minister prioritized the ongoing improvement of policy quality, the full digitalization of services in line with the best cybersecurity standards, and enhancing the attractiveness and competence of the civil service. In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that "we will once again walk this path of reform together for the advancement of Armenia's growth and the wellfare of society."
