
ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Vernon Coaker, Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
According to the PM's office, the Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Coaker's visit to Armenia and emphasized the recent active dialogue and cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom. Nikol Pashinyan noted that bilateral relations have an extensive agenda, covering various areas and directions. The head of state added that the Armenian government attaches importance to high-level reciprocal visits, which give new impetus to the consistent expansion of ties.
Vernon Coaker emphasized that elevating relations with Armenia to the level of strategic partnership will give new impetus to multifaceted ties and the implementation of joint programs. He expressed satisfaction with the discussions to enhance cooperation.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of implementing joint programs, including in military education and cybersecurity.
Nikol Pashinyan and Vernon Coaker also discussed issues of regional significance. Specifically, Vernon Coaker highlighted the UK's support for strengthening the already established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that it would enhance stability and foster cooperation in the region.
They also exchanged views on the TRIPP and Crossroads of Peace projects. Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government is interested in unblocking regional communication based on the principles outlined in the declaration signed in Washington on August 8 and attracting international investment for this purpose.
