ArmInfo. The legendary Imperial Orchestra will once again perform key soundtracks of the 20th and 21st centuries in Yerevan: Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Interstellar, Game of Thrones, Batman, Gladiator, Sunshine, The Phantom of the Opera, Jurassic Park, and Inception, combined into unique symphonic suites - Medleys. The Imperial Orchestra symphony orchestra was founded five years ago specifically for the first project, the Cinema Medley soundtrack show, and today unites over 800 musicians.
The orchestra performs under the direction of renowned conductors Lev Dunayev and Iosif Nurdayev. The project's artistic director is Alexander Dulin.
Over the five years of its existence, the project has grown from a chamber ensemble and small concerts to collaborations with the most renowned artists and companies. Its symphonic shows have already been attended by over 1 million spectators worldwide. In November 2025 alone, the Orchestra performed 33 concerts, and the total for the year has already exceeded 250. The Orchestra distinguishes itself from others in that all of its soundtracks are written in the medley genre, which allows for the unification and interweaving of key musical themes, performing them in the most epic and heartfelt manner possible with the help of a full symphony orchestra, digital organ, and choir. In an interview, Alexander Dulin noted his pride in the Orchestra's ability to buck the trend of symphonic music being reserved for a narrow philharmonic audience.
"We prove that an orchestra can be a superstar, packing out real stadiums. The main secret is the friendly atmosphere we create, whether it's a single concert or an entire tour." "And, of course, absolute mutual support for each other," he said. The concert will take place on December 20 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
