Armenia, United Kingdom discuss defense cooperation

ArmInfo. On December 5, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom Lord  Coaker, as well as the first British Resident Defence Attache to the  Republic of Armenia, Major Thomas Shorland Ball, at the premises of  the Ministry of Defence.

According to the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry, the  parties positively assessed the current state of cooperation and  expressed their readiness to further advance it. Both sides  emphasized the importance of the appointment of resident attaches in  Armenia and the UK, noting that this step will contribute to the  further expansion of bilateral defense cooperation.

A number of international and regional security issues were also  addressed.
