ArmInfo.Azerbaijan hopes to sign a peace agreement with Armenia in 2026, as stated by Elchin Amirbekov, Azerbaijani President's Special Representative, on December 4, RIA Novosti reports.
"This is a historic year: 30 years of conflict have finally come to an end, and we are finally on the brink of formalizing peace. The August summit in Washington confirmed the intentions of both sides to adhere to the peace agreement, the shared desire of all countries to turn the page and begin a new chapter in regional development. We have finalized the peace agreement. Next year is also important as we hope to formalize the peace agreement with Armenia," he told reporters in Geneva.
