ArmInfo. The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and its local organizations, are launching the "Homeland and Eternity" charity campaign. For the 33rd time, it will unite Armenians from all over the world. This time, the damaged sections of the Spandaryan Canal in the Syunik region will be restored, according to the fund's announcement.
The announcement notes that the "Homeland and Eternity" charity campaign has been presented to the public in a new light this year. The traditional telethon format has been replaced by a series of reflections and discussions about the homeland, featuring public and cultural figures. During the campaign, three motivational video messages were shown, reflecting the fund's new vision - a message of unity among Armenians and the eternity of the homeland. Filming took place in Syunik, as well as in the basin of the Spandaryan canal and reservoir.
The reconstruction of the Spandaryan Canal is vital for the communities of Sarnakunk, Ishkhanasar, Tsghuk, Spandaryan, Angeghakot, and Sheki. 730 families (4,320 residents) will directly benefit, and 2,800 hectares of land will be effectively irrigated, contributing to the region's ecosystem, rich in economic development opportunities.
Notably, as part of the campaign, in late November, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, met with the leadership of Armenia's banking system and major enterprises. The importance of the Spandaryan Canal reconstruction program was discussed by Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia Daniel Azatyan, and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan.
The Public Television of Armenia provided significant support in covering the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund campaign and the Spandaryan Canal reconstruction program. The campaign concept and video materials were developed by the communications company "AxelMondrian".
