Talin`s spiritual pastor, Father Tade Tahmazian, defrocked 

ArmInfo.  By papal decree of His Holiness Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All  Armenians Karekin II on December 2, Father Tade Tahmazian,  spiritual  pastor of the Talin region, was defrocked.

According to a statement from the press office of the Mother See of  Holy Etchmiadzin, the case was initiated based on a report by the  Administrative Council of the Aragatsotn Diocese and the conclusion  of the Commission on Ecclesial Awards and Disciplinary Issues of the  Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.  The arguments presented note that Father Tade has discredited the  Armenian Church and its clergy, including by disseminating a public  slanderous statement; committed anti-church acts by participating in  sinful acts of a person declared defrocked; deliberately omitted the  part of the liturgy dedicated to  mentioning of the names of the  Catholicos of All Armenians and the Primate of the Diocese are  mentioned, thereby denying the hierarchical order, placing himself  outside the Church, and, in essence, joining a schismatic movement;  and demonstrated disobedience to church authorities. 

The defrocked cleric will henceforth be regarded as a layman under  the name Aramais Tahmazyan..
