Opposition MP Artur Sargsyan to be placed under house arrest

ArmInfo. Artur Sargsyan,  member of the opposition parliamentary faction "Armenia," who was arrested on charges of "terrorism and seizure of power," will  be released - the Criminal Court of Appeals changed his preventive measure from arrest to house arrest and bail. His lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, shared this information on his Facebook page.

He recalled that the defense had appealed Judge Karen Farkhoyan's  latest ruling on November 10, 2025.  According to him, the appeal was  accepted for proceedings and reviewed in writing by Judge Mkhitar  Papoyan of the Criminal Court of Appeals. "It should be clearly noted  that Judge Mkhitar Papoyan's authority in the legal community has,  naturally, always been and remains high," Vardevanyan wrote.
