Pashinyan chairs  regular meeting of  Anti-Corruption Policy Council

ArmInfo.  A regular meeting of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The meeting focused on current legislative decisions regarding party financing, including the criteria and justifications for their targeted funding, as well  as clarification of oversight functions and mechanisms to ensure   transparency in party financial activities.

According to the PM's office, the second item on the agenda presented  the criteria for assessing the effectiveness and progress achieved in  anti-corruption policy, conflicts of interest and disclosure,  whistleblower protection, business ethics, judicial independence, the  independence of the prosecutor's office, anti-corruption bodies, and  the investigation of corruption crimes as part of the 5th round of  OECD assessments. A report on the work carried out during the 5th  round of GRECO's evaluation of Armenia's implementation of existing  commitments was also presented.

Council members provided their comments on the proposed decisions  regarding the reports and exchanged views on the procedures for  implementing commitments. In conclusion, Prime Minister Pashinyan  instructed that work continue on the matters highlighted in the  reports and that specific recommendations be prepared for the next  meeting.
