ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his gratitude to the high-ranking clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who met with him, thanking them for "their publicly expressed principled stance" today.
"I think that the issue you have raised in your statement through a personified figure touches upon a very important common agenda. I have thought about this for a long time and have reached the following conclusion: we talk a lot about a values-based state and society; this is our goal and objective. Any state is founded on legal logic, which, in turn, is rooted in a specific value system, and a state cannot exist without a value system. The role of spiritual values in reality largely determines the value-based essence of a state.
This is an issue, the expression of a position on it is crucial for the future development and fate of our state. I have read your statement from this perspective and see a similar concern expressed. Thank you for accepting the invitation and for being prepared for this conversation and discussion," Pashinyan noted.
