ArmInfo. Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on Armenia's absence from the CSTO summit in Bishkek, noting Yerevan's stance on participation in the military bloc's work. "We are aware of Armenia's position on the CSTO. As our Armenian colleagues tell us: " We support all decisions made by the CSTO, we consider ourselves members of the CSTO, but at this phase we refrain from participating in the organization's meetings," Putin stated to reporters after the CSTO meeting. He added it is the Armenian side's choice.
According to Putin, if the Armenian side considers it possible to work this way for now, that's fine. "We agree. Russia, as a state that currently leads the CSTO, of course will be in constant contact with them as members of this organization, and, of course, will develop and coordinate with them decisions we prepare for each priority," the Russian leader concluded.
