ArmInfo. Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan has expressed his willingness to go to Azerbaijan at a convenient time. He made this statement to journalists on November 26.
"I am ready to go to Azerbaijan at a convenient time. I also plan to invite my Azerbaijani counterpart to Armenia within the framework of any format," Simonyan said.
When asked whether he had received an invitation to visit Azerbaijan, the Speaker of the National Assembly gave a negative answer. However, if such an invitation is received, he would consider it. He added that Azerbaijan's refusal to participate in the European Political Community (EPC) summit in Yerevan in May 2026 is not related to Armenia, but to Baku's relations with the EU. "During the meeting, Ms. Gafarova asked that I convey on behalf of their President, that this has nothing to do with the Armenian side," Alen Simonyan said.
