ArmInfo. RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan attended an event held to mark the 90th anniversary of Bryusov State University. Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan also attended.
As reported by the government press service, after congratulating those present on the university's anniversary, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that this day is another opportunity to re-evaluate the significant contribution the university has made over the decades to developing the country's pedagogical potential and strengthening the humanities. Having begun its existence as a university of foreign languages, Bryusov State University has over the years strengthened its role as a research center, training qualified teachers, leading linguists and literary scholars, as well as specialists with competitive, flexible, and applied skills for the labor market. "I would like to emphasize that, while remaining committed to high academic standards, the university has always strived to ensure international competitiveness, providing Armenian students with the opportunity to study nearly two dozen foreign languages and cultures, as well as develop intercultural communication skills, so crucial in today's reality. Despite these outstanding results, ensuring a quality education requires constant effort and dedication. We are confident that you will continue to utilize your high professional responsibility and knowledge for the benefit of the university's continuous development, confirming its role as a leader in Armenia's education system, humanities, intercultural communication, and the training of a new generation of educators.
I would like to take this opportunity to confirm that the government views education as the cornerstone of its long-term development strategy-in other words, education as a development strategy. Therefore, we must consistently direct our daily efforts to ensuring quality education-from kindergarten and secondary schools to universities," said the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia.
