Kremlin: Armenia will not participate in  CSTO summit in Kyrgyzstan

ArmInfo. Armenia will not participate in the CSTO summit in Kyrgyzstan, as stated by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov to reporters.

"As for Armenia, it will not participate, but its representatives  have  informed the organizers that they don't oppose the adoption of  the agreed documents at the meeting," Ushakov said.

A joint meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM),  Council of Defense Ministers (CDM), and Committee of Security Council  Secretaries (CSCS), as well as a session of the CSTO Collective  Security Council (CSC), will be held in Bishkek on November 27,  chaired by Kyrgyzstan.

Recall, Armenia has been boycotting CSTO events since the end of  2022. In February 2024, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  announced that Armenia had effectively frozen its participation in  the CSTO, citing the organization's failure to fulfill its  obligations to Armenia, which would have  inevitable consequences. On  September 18, 2024, during the Second World Armenian Summit,  Pashinyan declared that the CSTO posed threats to Armenia's security,  its continued existence, sovereignty, and statehood.
