ArmInfo. To achieve a final peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, an atmosphere of mutual trust must be created between the two countries, which is only a matter of time, as stated by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan at a press briefing in the village of Kirants in the Tavush region, during a stopover on his way back to Yerevan from Georgia.
According to the state news agency Armenpress, the President noted that the bilateral legal process in this direction has already begun, mentioning that the countries have recognized each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. "This process will be fully completed when the citizens of both countries are able to overcome the existing challenges and when the mutual trust between the two countries and peoples is restored. We, as responsible political figures, must ensure the political process and legal framework for creating such a situation. No one can say exactly when this will happen, because for this to happen, the authorities of both countries must create more opportunities for contacts without fear of discontent in one of the countries. I believe this is possible," the President emphasized.
Additionally, the Armenian leader is confident that results can only be achieved through joint efforts. "The problems that exist today at the global level are the same for all countries, and their solution requires a collective effort. To achieve results, cooperation with neighbors must be easier and more effective," Khachaturyan concluded.
