ArmInfo. The information published in the newspaper "Zhoghovurd" that Lilit Makunts, the RA Prime Minister's chief adviser, received an encyclopedia worth 1,014,000 drams as a gift is false. This was stated in a clarification by the RA government press service.
According to the source, the encyclopedia is a gift to the Prime Minister's Office and was handed over to the office through Lilit Makunts.
"The declaration by the Prime Minister's chief adviser is a purely technical error, and the corresponding corrections will be made to the registry of gift declarations of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption," the statement reads.
Earlier, the newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reported that the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption's registry of gifts indicated that Makunts received the most expensive gift on the list. In particular, on October 25, during a meeting with the director of the American company Twins Buick GMC, Tigran Safaryan, Lilit Makunts received an Armenia Aeterna encyclopedia worth more than 1 million drams.
