ArmInfo. The now-traditional Yerevan Theater Festival (YTF) will be held in the Armenian capital for the third time under the theme "Creativity for a Peaceful World". From November 19 to 30, it will host theater companies from the USA, Germany, Georgia, and Turkey, and present performances from local theaters, including the G. Sundukyan National Academic Theater, the Yerevan State Pantomime Theater, and the Hamazgayin (National) Theater named after S. Sargsyan. This year, the festival has a special mission: to introduce Yerevan audiences to Armenian theaters operating outside of Armenia, specifically the Petros Adamyan State Drama Theater in Tbilisi and the Hangardz Independent Theater Troupe from Turkey.
The festival will conclude with the dance performance "InC" by the choreographic group Sasha Waltz & Guests (Germany). Notably, this performance in Yerevan will feature 12 students from the Choreographic School of Armenia. Among the festival's guests is the American theater group Lit Moon, already well-known thanks to the ETF, which will present two performances: "King Lear" (based on Shakespeare's play) and "Uncle Vanya" (based on Chekhov's play).
It should be noted that the press conference also included official participation from the EU Ambassador to Armenia Vasilis Maragos, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia Daniel Danielyan, and other officials.
