


ArmInfo. On November 18, a delegation led by RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan visited the production facility of the French company IN Group in Ostrava, Czech Republic. During the visit, they approved the design and security features of Armenian citizens' ID cards. Additionally, several technical issues related to the structure and design of the passport data page were discussed, according to the press service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Minister was presented with trends in modernization and technical solutions for electronic border management systems. During the visit, the current status of biometric system implementation, the development process, and expected innovations were also addressed. The Minister reviewed the printing process for both ID cards and biometric passports, emphasizing that the priority in providing biometric documents is to provide citizens with modern, secure, and high-quality next-generation services.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with its private partner, is making every effort to begin producing biometric documents by the promised deadline in the second half of 2026. Arpine Sargsyan also stressed the importance of working with a private partner in implementing innovative solutions in the identity management infrastructure and document security, emphasizing its significant role in the visa liberalization process with the EU.
