ArmInfo. On November 19, a group of citizens held a protest outside the Armenian parliament to demonstrate the failures of the policies pursued by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team. Those gathered expressed their belief that the failures by the head of government should have resulted in his resignation, instead of the ongoing lawlessness that persists today.
The protesters carried a foil-covered banner symbolizing the prime minister's distorted policies, akin to funhouse mirrors. The banner included slogans condemning Pashinyan's actions against the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC). The poster also contained messages condemning the illusory peace agenda promoted by the Armenian prime minister and expressing dissatisfaction with the government's "Real Armenia" concept, which aims to erase Armenian history.
During the protest, Eleonora Manandyan, one of the participants, noted in an interview with journalists that Pashinyan has essentially destroyed the established state during his 7.5 years in power. As evidence for her words, she mentioned the occupation of sovereign Armenian territories, the loss of Artsakh, and the loss of the fundamental values and strength once possessed by the state that won the First Artsakh War.
Additionally, she expressed her conviction that the responsibility for the current situation lies with the Armenian people themselves. "Pashinyan should have been punished back in 2020. However, the Armenian people made another mistake by electing Pashinyan in 2021. Nikol Pashinyan must be held fully accountable before the law, and the opposition must unite in the name of the homeland to find ways to lead Armenia out of the challenging situation it has found itself in due to the current leadership's poor policies," the protester concluded.
