Taron Margaryan`s property and assets seized

ArmInfo.  The property and assets of Taron Margaryan, parliament member from the "With Honor" bloc and former Yerevan Mayor, have been seized.

According to PTV reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office, the  supervisory agency is demanding the confiscation of real estate and  cash worth 2 billion drams ($5.2 million) from the former mayor and  individuals associated with him as part of a lawsuit seeking the  confiscation of illegal assets. The prosecutor in the case clarified  that the claim includes all of Margaryan's assets, acquired since May  2005 (when Taron Margaryan was the head of the Avan administrative  district).

Taron Margaryan's defense team disputes the prosecution's claims,  stating that the property belonging to Taron Margaryan and his family  members was obtained exclusively through legal means.

The criminal case against Taron Margaryan was forwarded to the court  by the prosecutor on September 8, 2025.
