


ArmInfo. Lawyer and member of the "Po-Nashemu" movement Ruben Mkhitaryan, who was detained in Gyumri on October 20 and held in custody for about a month, has been released.
As his lawyer, Varazdat Harutyunyan, reported on his Facebook page, the decision to lift the pretrial detention measure was made by the Criminal Court of Appeals, chaired by Judge Vazgen Rshtuni. "No other measures were applied to Mkhitaryan. Freedom for the remaining political prisoners," Harutyunyan concluded.
As a reminder, lawyer Ruben Mkhitaryan, a member of the "Po-Nashemu" movement, was detained in Gyumri on October 20. He arrived there to provide legal assistance to individuals being detained by law enforcement officers at the Gyumri City Hall. Then, as part of the investigative measures, eight officials from the mayor's office of Armenia's second largest city were detained on charges of bribery, including the city's head, Vardan Ghukasyan.
