ArmInfo. Expectations from Armenia's courts have been reduced to zero, but even so, it is necessary to stand by political prisoners, including Samvel Karapetyan. Hayk Mamijanyan, leader of the parliamentary opposition faction "With Honor," told reporters on November 17.
According to him, one example of this lawlessness is the decision made by the Public Services Regulatory Commission to revoke electricity distribution license of the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, which is part of the Tashir Group. "It's no secret that current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is resorting to every illegal means to suppress dissenters, including against Samvel Karapetyan, given the latter's weight and influence in the Republic of Armenia and beyond. I am confident that Samvel Karapetyan could have predicted what is happening, including regarding the networks, and his determination remains unshaken," Mamijanyan noted.
He added that the current government relies on the security forces, while the opposition relies on patriotic citizens. "If this opposition can prove that Pashinyan's supporters are a small group of people, marginalized individuals who have no basis for representing the Republic of Armenia, then the situation will be resolved," the parliamentarian concluded.
