Court to consider economic charges against Tashir Group President

ArmInfo.  Today, November 17, an Armenian court will hear charges of economic crimes against Tashir Group President Samvel Karapetyan. This was announced by lawyer Ruben Hakobyan in a conversation with journalists on November 17.

According to him, the court will consider the investigative  authorities' motion to extend his pretrial detention for another  month, but if this motion is denied, the extension will simply not be  granted.

The lawyer noted that, according to the defense, the motion has no  connection with reality or law. "The motion cites the Cassation  Court's reasoning, which we have not yet received. My colleagues at  the Cassation Court will forgive me, but it seems that in this case,  it is acting as a subsidiary of the Prosecutor's Office and the  Investigative Committee," the lawyer stated, adding that the time  limit for pretrial detention for calls to overthrow the government  has already been fully exhausted.
