Vagharshapat election results not ruling party`s victory, but gift  from non-voting citizens - Homeland party leader

ArmInfo.  The result achieved in the Vagharshapat elections is not a victory for the Civil Contract party, but simply a gift from non-voting citizens. Artur  Vanetsyan, leader of the Homeland party, wrote this on his Facebook  account. 

"I express my deep gratitude to all residents of the enlarged  Vagharshapat community who voted for us, who supported the Motherland  party and our mayoral candidate, Khachik Manukyan. To say that we  regret the results would be an understatement, but it is also an  important and serious lesson we must learn. Based on this lesson, we  are obliged to change our approaches and style of work going forward.  We have neither the right nor the time to be disappointed. In my  opinion, disappointment is tantamount to betrayal. Now we must pool  all our resources and change the current situation. The most  important thing is to break the cycle of inertia of that part of our  society that has distanced itself from political processes and does  not participate in the elections. Nevertheless, we congratulate our  opposition partners, the Victory bloc of parties and the Mother  Armenia party, on the results achieved," Artur Vanetsyan said in a  statement.
