ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke at an official dinner organized as part of the first Prayer Breakfast of the Republic of Armenia, which was attended by over 300 high-ranking officials, government figures, representatives of the diplomatic, business, and clergy spheres from Armenia and abroad.
According to the government press service, in his welcoming speech, Nikol Pashinyan noted that in his seven years as prime minister, this was the first time he was participating in an event of this format, which included representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), the Yazidi, Jewish, Armenian Catholic, Armenian Evangelical, Assyrian, Orthodox, Muslim, and other faiths. The head of government emphasized that religious tolerance has always been on the agenda, and this is one of those instances where policies, statements, and decisions must be translated into concrete human contacts. He also added that these contacts are crucial for learning about the beliefs and religions of Armenia's various communities and national minorities.
According to the source, the long-term goal of the Prayer Breakfast is to shape a vision and position Armenia as a leader in religious freedom and prosperity, with a society founded on faith, partnership, innovation, and peace. "Through the Prayer Breakfast, the Republic of Armenia joins a global tradition that brings together leaders to reflect, pray, and seek moral solutions to address the challenges of our time," the government statement reads.
