


ArmInfo.The Yerevan International Shakespeare 17th Theatre Festival will be held from November 14 to 20, featuring theater companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Hungary, Romania, and Poland. This year, the festival will have a somewhat unusual format, as in addition to plays by the great English playwright William Shakespeare, Yerevan audiences will see performances based on Russian classics such as A. Chekhov, L. Tolstoy, and others.
The 17th festival will also expand its geography, encompassing Gyumri and Ashtarak.
Within the Yerevan International Shakespeare 17th Theater Festival framework, masterclasses, professional discussions, and a special meeting with USSR People's Artist, actor, director, and artistic director of the "Satyricon" Theater, Konstantin Raikin will be held.
Over the years, the International Shakespeare Theater Festival has become an important cultural platform, that brings together theater professionals from around the world. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
