ArmInfo. On November 13, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia started discussing the matter of revoking the l Electric Networks of Armenia company's operational license.
Prior to the meeting, former CEO David Ghazinyan emphasized that ENA's former management has nothing to fear. He stated that they are prepared to answer all questions from PSRC members and to ask questions to understand the situation. Ghazinyan emphasized that the interests of the entire nation are at stake in this case. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the discussions are free from time constraints and restrictions on freedom of speech. One of the issues of interest to the former management is the purpose of the recent visit of a delegation from PSRC to Turkey.
"According to my information, a very representative team from the Public Services Regulatory Commission recently visited Turkey. Now let them explain the reason for their visit. In my opinion, the real purpose of the visit was most probably different," Ghazinyan stated. He also added that, given the current situation, it would be impossible to find a single reputable company willing to acquire shares after the ENA's license was revoked and nationalized, as all such companies adhere to a code of ethics. The only interested parties could be Turkey and Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the situation at the PSRC meeting was highly charged. Romanos Petrosyan, the ENA interim manager, was quite upset by the situation. "Are you trying to disrupt the meeting? You're interfering with our work," Petrosyan stated, assuring that he had been in the break room, not the PSRC''s head's office, prior to the meeting. He requested law enforcement officers to restore order in the Commission's meeting room. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan was also present and demanded that order be restored.
