Two anniversaries submitted by Armenia  included in  UNESCO Calendar  of Anniversaries of Eminent Personalities and Important Events for  2026-2027

ArmInfo.The 150th anniversary of the birth of the eminent Armenian linguist and academician Hrachya Acharyan (1876-1953) and the 100th anniversary of  the start of construction of Republic Square in Yerevan (1927) have been included in the UNESCO Calendar of Anniversaries of Eminent  Personalities and Important Events for 2026-2027, as reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry reported that the decision was adopted during the 43rd  session of the UNESCO General Conference, currently taking place in  Samarkand. Since 1998, 31 anniversaries submitted by the Republic of  Armenia have been included in the UNESCO Calendar of Anniversaries of  Eminent Personalities and Important Events
