


ArmInfo. Driving vehicles without appropriate winter tires will be prohibited from November 15 to March 31, inclusive, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded.
Specifically, driving a vehicle without winter tires will be prohibited if: 1) passenger cars and trucks with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tons are not equipped with winter tires; 2) the remaining tread depth of winter tires designed for use on icy or snowy roads is 4 millimeters or less when driven under these road conditions
Violations of these requirements will result in administrative penalties. "Dear road users, the Ministry of Internal Affairs police urge you to observe traffic safety regulations, buy winter tires with the permitted tread pattern, and demonstrate responsible, law-abiding, and conscientious behavior," the police statement reads.
Recall, the fine for driving without winter tires will be 5,000 drams, and if the offender's vehicle is involved in an accident, the fine will be 20,000 drams.
