ArmInfo. Azerbaijan was one of the main initiators of the establishment of the "3+3" regional consultation platform and is in favor of hosting the next meeting in this format. Aykhan Hajizade, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated this in an interview with Report.
He recalled that three meetings have already taken place within the framework of the mechanism since its establishment on December 10, 2021: in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul. "During the last meeting in Turkey last October, we attempted to include a provision in the final document for organizing future meetings in Baku and Yerevan, but the Armenian side objected. We believe the next meeting should be held in Azerbaijan," he noted, emphasizing the importance of serious preparatory work and setting the agenda for the upcoming meeting.
