ArmInfo. Times, rulers, and circumstances change, but our Lord is unchanging. His truth is not subject to fear, nor His righteousness to slander. This was the message addressed by Father Vrtanes Baghalyan, primate of St. Hovhannes Church in Byurakan.
According to him, when God sends people mentors, spiritual shepherds, they become a light on everyone's path. "However, today our hearts grieve, because our beloved Father Garegin, as well as the head of the diocese, Mkrtich Proshyan, are far from us, enduring the sufferings of unjust exile and imprisonment. And if our primate is now far away, then Christ, our Lord and spiritual Shepherd, is present with us. Today, when many are in confusion, not knowing whom to believe, whom to follow, we are called not to be carried away, and not to weaken. We must be strengthened not by external food, material or worldly words, but by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, dear believers, in these days of trial, remember your mentors not with sorrow, but with faith. Pray for them, that the Lord will strengthen them in the hour of despair, as He strengthened the Apostle Paul in prison, the Apostle Peter in chains, and our holy martyrs in darkness. Pray also for your hearts, that they be filled not with bitterness, but with grace, for only "By grace may the heart endure. May the eternal Word of the Lord be our guide, and may His unfailing presence strengthen us in this holy place. Let us remember our shepherds imprisoned, and let us also remember the Cross, on which the same injustice resurrected the Son of God, but by this very Cross death was conquered. May our prayer ascend to heaven for our Patriarch, bishops, priests, our people, and the entire Church. And may the unfailing love of Christ preserve us in the unity of faith, now and ever and unto the ages of ages," noted Vrtanes Bagalyan.
