ArmInfo. Regarding the Electric Networks of Armenia company, we must await a decision from the Public Services Regulatory Commission. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement during a briefing on November 6.
According to him, further actions should be expected only after the PSRC's decision. This decision should provide some context regarding the feasibility of the previously agreed-upon scenario or the potential impact of this scenario on the price. The price must be determined in accordance with a bilateral analysis, particularly in relation to the possibility of selling the company.
"If the investor's proposed price is reasonable, the issue will be seriously discussed. However, if it becomes clear that the high price makes it impossible to acquire the company using state budget funds, we will pursue the second scenario: the company's management will be transferred to a specialized, reputable international company with state participation in the form of minority shares or a 'golden share.' However, all options will be discussed only after the PSRC's decision," the head of the Armenian government said. He added that payment will be required in all cases; but the question remains as to who will pay and how much. In one scenario, the investor will do the paying; in the other, the company acquiring ENA will be responsible.
