Cinema coming back to the Cinema House

ArmInfo. In November,  the National Cinematheque of Armenia will host three exciting premieres and hold meetings with directors. The Union of  Cinematographers of Armenia, along with the ANTIPODE VISION film distribution company is initiating a special program to bring regular  screenings back to the Yerevan Cinema House. This November, viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy three high-profile premieres and  engage in discussions with directors, as announced by the Union.

According to the source, the films will be shown in their original  language with Armenian and Russian subtitles. Students receive a 30%  discount on tickets. The program will open with the winner of the Max  Ophuls International Film Festival, "Impatience of the Heart" (2025),  directed by German filmmaker Lauro Cress. It is a relevant adaptation  of the novel of the same name by Austrian writer Stefan Zweig.

The film premieres on November 6th in its original language with  Armenian and English subtitles.  Repeat screenings will be shown  in  German with Armenian and Russian subtitles on November 7th, 8th, and  9th. On November 13th, there will be a meeting with director Maria  Riegel and the premiere of her film "So Said the Wind" (Armenia,  2025). Language: Armenian with Russian subtitles. Repeat screenings  will take place on November 17th and 18th.

On November 27th, the Armenian premiere of "DEAF LOVERS" will take  place and an online meeting with director Boris Guts. It's 2022. War.  Ukrainian woman Sonya and Russian man Danya meet in Istanbul. During  the war, Ukranian Sonyan meets Russian Danya in Istanbul. Both  struggle with basic needs and share desires for fun and romance,  while confronting their past and planning a future together.  It will  be shown in sign language, Russian, and Ukrainian with English and  Armenian subtitles.
