Court hearing to determine pretrial detention for Catholicos` brother  and his son to be held soon

ArmInfo. The investigative body filed a petition with the Armavir Regional Court of First Instance (Judge Artak Babakhanyan) to order pretrial detention for the brother of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, 68- year-old  Gevorg Nersisyan, and his son, Hambardzum Nersisyan. Lawyer Ara  Zohrabyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"The court hearing will be held soon. The investigative body and the  prosecutor's office have made a decision and embarked on criminal  prosecution based on the testimony of one person. The Nersisyans'  testimony and the video recording were not taken into account," the  lawyer stated. On the evening of November 2, Zohrabyan reported that  the Nersisyans, father and son, had been detained on charges of  hooliganism and obstructing election campaigning. Meanwhile, video  footage from the scene shows that there was no hooliganism, much less  obstruction of campaigning.
